MACOS, ANDROID, IOS: Antimalware applications will be temporarily installed on the target system and scans will be run. Results will be analyzed and quarantined.

Appropriate software tools will be used to clean out system and cache files that build up in a target windows or MacOS environment. In addition to this, drivers will be updated and operating system updates will be installed. These actions should result in performance improvements.

A computer’s current operating system will be upgraded to a different or newer version. Examples:

- Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 (Windows 10 will lose support in October 2025)

- Upgrading Windows editions from Home to Pro

*The upgrade does not delete user files or applications. However, there is a small chance of data loss if the upgrade fails. Backing up important files before an upgrade is strongly recommended.

A device’s operating system will be re-imaged. The re-imaging options are:

- A hard reset, removing all files & apps

- A reset that keeps user files and apps (not available for Macs or most phones)

- A drive wipe and manual fresh installation of Windows

*A full reset will guarantee complete removal of all files, apps and malware from the device’s storage, and is also likely to improve performance considerably.

A one-time backup of the data you request will be copied from a source device to a destination external drive or cloud drive that you own.

If you don’t have a destination drive, you can purchase one independently or through StraitFix. The cost of the drive will be added to the cost of the service.

A damaged or wiped storage device will be subject to a data recovery tool in an attempt to salvage as many files from it as possible.

An exact replication of a source drive’s contents will be copied to your requested destination drive. If you don’t have a destination drive, you can purchase one independently or through StraitFix. The cost of the drive will be added to the cost of the service.

An internal or external storage drive will have its data securely erased using professional tools. All data present on the drive will be lost after the wipe.

Printer setup process will be carried out at your home or place of business. This includes connecting the printer to the network OR connecting it to your computer via USB, running updates, printing test pages, installing drivers on appropriate devices and ensuring test prints are 100% successful.

- Thermal paste re-application

Charge is applied to each individual hardware item involved. E.g. A CPU replacement will cost $50 because the heatsink also has to be remove and re-applied in addition to CPU installation.
